About the Game

Aurora Myths: A naval adventure blending RPG depth with Metroidvania exploration and a compelling narrative. Embark on a quest to unravel ancient mysteries and claim your legacy as the King of the Seven Seas. Our main goal is to deliver the best ship navigation experience that exists.

Our X Factor

Aurora Myths redefines the genre by focusing on navigation and combat as the core experience, instead of a side mechanic, as most current games. Our Metroidvania approach ensures deep immersion through secrets like phantom ships appearing only at night or locations revealed by specific captains. Combined with a unique collection system for diverse ships and commanders, the game offers a rich narrative journey set within the Slash universe.

Investment Proposal & Platform Strategy

This vertical slice was developed by a solo dev. We are seeking an investment of 80,000 dolars for a 10-12 month development cycle. Funding will focus on expanding core gameplay, redefining art direction, and hiring specialized freelancers for voice acting. Aurora Myths targets a global launch on major platforms, including Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, with a 10-12 month release timeline.

Business Goals

Important Information

A key feature of our universe is the presence of expressive faces and strong characters. Although they aren't in this current gameplay demo, the final game will feature beautifully designed characters (Legendary Captains, crew, other characters) with deep backstory to help players truly connect with the world.

This demo RPG mechanic was intentionally unbalanced so players can feel early the experience of being on a more advanced gameplay stage.

Mechanics: Enemies spawn procedurally near ports for leveling. Each region features a Legendary Enemy. When an enemy's HP drops below 30%, players can press 'X' to initiate a boarding invasion. Victory results in the ship being hijacked, allowing the player to fully command and battle with the captured vessel.
